Known for her simplicity, the 47 years old actress Sonali Bendre makes her comeback with DID Li’l Masters Season 5. She took a break from the film industry since she was diagnosed with cancer in 2018.
She will be accompanying Remo D’souza and Mouni Roy as a judge. The actress has been away from the silver screen for more than 4 years. Back in 2018, she was the judge of India’s Best Draamebaaz, which she left in between as she was diagnosed with cancer.
The actress talked about her last 4 years battling metastatic cancer during an interview. Bendre said that the previous two years, specifically have been challenging for the whole world ( due to the pandemic), and the two years before that have been tough for her. The actress felt grateful for what she has now and could watch her son grow old.
The actress shared a picture of her first day of shoot of DID L’il Masters (Season 5) on her Instagram handle. In the caption, the actress said that she was excited to be back on stage after the break of four years.
The actress was asked to pen down her whole journey of battling cancer in a book. The actress has already written a book, but it was on parenting. Bendre hinted that everything she writes on social media is different, and she doesn’t have any plans to write a book.

In an interview, the actress was asked about her husband’s reaction, Goldie Behl. She replied that her husband had been telling her to make a comeback for a long time, but she wanted to be sure about her health once.
Her husband wanted her to start work again, just like she used to in the 90s. But Bendre wanted to be sure that she could handle the work for 12-18 hours straight. This was the only reason she was delaying the comeback.
Sonali Bendre stepped into the showbiz industry with Naraaz, released in 2014. She was also seen in the multi-starrer family drama movie, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain‘ opposite Salman Khan.
