Jacqueline Fernandez is without a doubt among the most talented actresses in Bollywood, and her movies, music videos, and whatever else she does, continue to win over her audiences.
She has always been admired by her co-stars for her positive and cheerful attitude. However, like everyone else, our diva has struggled with mental health and recently opened up about it on Shilpa Shetty’s talk show, “Shape Of You.
This year Jacquline is returning to the big screen with an action-comedy film directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
As part of the promotion of her movie, she was on the set of ‘Shape Of You’ where she spoke candidly about her mental health, her relationships, recent rumors, and many more.
The COVID-19 pandemic had a devastating effect on normal life. In addition to keeping us confined to our homes for months, the virus also impacted our health and even our jobs. And it didn’t matter whether we were ordinary people or celebrities.
Celebs openly discussed mental health issues and how they handled them during this pandemic.
Just as Jacqueline Fernandez shared her experiences and candidly discussed them with her audiences this time.
What More Jacqueline Fernandez Shared?
During the discussion about it, Jacqueline commented that it happened just after the pandemic hit the nation.
“Most of us didn’t realize what was happening to them at that time. Those who were involved in so many things were pulled away. People lost their jobs. People lost their people. I realized that I was possibly suffering through a bit of loneliness. You know some so many people live alone in the city and they don’t have their families with them.”
“Therefore, you don’t end up having people to talk to. I tend not to like to bog people down with my problems or issues due to my personality as well. As a result, I don’t want to bring up things that might seem sad or depressing around friends or family. I don’t like them knowing that I’m struggling, hurt, unhappy or lonely. So, I did seek help”.
She further stated that she is glad she decided to seek help and has been through therapy for a while. “It is amazing how people, even if they can’t do therapy, but have someone they can talk to, can cope.
My realization was that in therapy, a lot of times, I just talked, talked, and that person just listened to me and asked questions that made me think why I was feeling alone.
The reason people think therapy is useless is that they think what they’re trying to tell you is useless, while it’s for your self-reflection that you don’t always have the time to engage in. And it helped me so much,” she added.
Asked about being trolled, Jacqueline Fernandez said that over the years she had learned not to let these comments get to you.“There are times when you see something written very randomly, and no one has clarified it, no one has asked you, but already you are gunned down, which was not even necessary. You can become a horrible person or untrustworthy if you do this. Don’t let it steal your light. Stay positive,” she said.
Shilpa also says she shares the same quality with Jacqueline Fernandez : the ability to remain “eternally positive.” “Bhaad me jaaye log, hum apni zindagi jeeyenge,” Shilpa says in the video, while Jacqueline replies, “Ek hi zindagi hai.”
Jacqueline Fernandez is now making headlines for the song Heer Raanjhana from Bachchan Pandey. Also starring Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Kriti Sanon in the lead, the movie is helmed by Farhad Samji and is slated to release on March 18. Besides, she will also be seen in John Abraham‘s starrer Attack Part 1 which will hit the screens on April 1.
