Sayantani Ghosh is a veteran of the small screen industry with around 20 years of experience with multiple has seen all the ups and downs in her career. She made her Hindi Television debut in 2002 with the long-running soap opera Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.
She rose to fame with the daily soap as it was one of the most-watched shows at that time. She has been part of many successful daily soap series like successful TV shows Naaginn, Mahabharat, Naamkarann and Naagin 4, Banoo Main Teri Dulhann, Ghar Ek Sapna, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, Sabki Laadli Bebo, Sanjivani, etc.
Noticeably she was also a part of reality shows like Big Boss 6 in 2012, Dare to Dance, and Nach Baliye 6. For the most part of her career, she has been in a supporting role and has won many awards. Currently, she was seen in the Sony SAB series Tera Yaar Hoon Main and has also received an award of ‘Favourite Lokpriya Sadasya’ Gold Comedy Awards for her role as Daljeet Bagga.

In a recent interview, Sayantani talks about her casting couch experiences and her struggle with body shaming. In an instant, she talked about an encounter with a lady in her teenage years where the lady made a comment about her breast size and its impact related to her getting enough s*x.
Ghosh says she was stunned as she was a virgin at that time and also because this comment was baseless and had no meaning. In another incident, she talked about how she met a producer for a role, and when he learned about her strength and weakness and openly asked to her for spending some time with him.
She believes that incidents like there leave unknowing scars on people who face this and they start questioning themselves whether they are good enough or not? whether they are the ones who are giving hints for such horrific incidents?
Sayantani discussed being and depression because of incidents like there and dealing it with strength. Fortunately, she has very good family support, Sayantani Ghosh married her long-time boyfriend, Anugrah Tiwari in an intimate wedding ceremony in Kolkata last year. He has been her constant support.
