In past three decades, bollywood has produced some exceptional talents and among them is Ratna Pathak Shah, today one her 65th birthday we will look back into her long career, success and short comings. Born in 18 March 1857 in a Gujarati Hindu family to father Baldev Pathak and mother Dina Pathak.
She did has schooling in B. Vachha High School, Dadar, Mumbai and later went on to National School of Drama, Delhi and she was the part of 1981 batch. She was very active in theaters and have been part of multiple series in Hindi as well as English language. She rose to stardom when she appeared in the hit TV serial Idhar Udhar in the 1980s. She got married to Naseeruddin Shah in the year 1982 and next year in 1982 she made her Bollywood debut in the movie “Mandi.” Her next film Mirch Masala came in 1987. She has been part of more than 20 movies in her long career.
Ratna Pathak Shah turns 65
In small screen, her best work was the superhit comedy show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai in which she played role of high class elite of her society and her role was loved by fans and she also received the ITA Award for Best Actress – Comedy in 2005. Her next best performance was in Jane Tu Ya Jane Na, which came is 2008 and the film was a hit and was loved by fans. Her next best work and possibly her best performance of her in Bollywood came in 2010 in the action comedy film Golmaal 3.
In past 5 years she has been part of some good films like family drama film Kapoor & Sons (2016), and the black-comedy film Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017), she was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for these films. In 2022, she will be part of two films, one is Ranveer Singh starrer “Jayeshbhai Jordaar” and action thriller film “Attack” which will feature Jhon Abraham, Jacqueline Fernandez and Rakul Preet Singh. In personal front she is happily married to Nasseerudin Shah and has 2 kid with him. We wish a very happy birthday of the veteran actor.
