It is no doubt that Erica Fernandes is one of the best actresses in her line of work. In addition to her gorgeousness and beauty, the characters that she plays from Prerna to Sonakshi, have all continued to linger among the audience.
One might even say that these characters have carved a special place in the hearts of the audience forever. The last TV show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3 showcasing Erica had abruptly wrapped itself up. This was followed by a recent interview given by Erica where she revealed that she was using the time off to spend time with her family and was taking a much-needed break for herself.
She further confessed that she had refused many OTT show offers. Even though, during the pandemic, the OTT industry and its shows have had a boom and are indeed very high in demand.
Many celebrities also have taken up projects and are now directly releasing content on OTT but, Erica felt otherwise, and consciously made the decision of not working in any OTT shows.
Confession Of Erica Fernandes For Refusing OTT Shows
Erica revealed the reason for refusing these offers, all the while stating and agreeing to the fact of knowing that even though these shows are booming on the OTT platform. And, being offered multiple show opportunities, she refused to work in any of them because of the level of intimacy that was required.
In an interview with Etimes Erica mentioned that many of the projects that were offered to her required intimate scenes and there were also times when she felt that some of the scenes felt forced and unnecessary.
It was not that Erica was not open to the idea of doing an on-screen intimate scene, and was even ready to do so only if the story, character, or show needed such scenes.
But, she clearly stated that she had her own limits of doing the scenes and that she would feel uncomfortable in doing certain things. While adding to her statement Erica mentioned it is difficult and tough to wait for roles that have fewer amounts of intimacy involved and are also good and confessed, “Because the level of intimacy was a bit too much for me, I had to turn down many web show offers.”
In an interview, Erica was asked as to whether she was up for any reality TV shows, and to this, she responded that her decision will depend on the fact as to the type of the TV show and said, “I am not the type of person who would want to be locked up in a house.”
