The Kashmir Files files actress Mrinal Kulkarni revealed in a recent interview, Mithun Chakraborty wished to act in a Marathi Film. The movie Kashmir Files has been breaking many box office records, and this Vivek Agnihotri film has already crossed the Rs. 100 Crore mark in box offices.
The Kashmir Files is a movie based on the mass departure of Kashmiri Pandits during the period of the Kashmir insurgency. The film stars Anupam Kher, Chinmay Mandlekar, Mrinal Kulkarni, Darshan Kumaar, Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi, and many others in key roles.
The cast of The Kashmir Files recently appeared in the Marathi show Chala Hawa Yeu Dya and in a conversation with the host of the show, Nilesh Sable, Mrinal Kulkarni disclosed that she shared an interesting conversation and story behind the scenes with Mithun Chakraborty.
What more did Mrinal Kulkarni share in the interview?
Mrinal revealed that Mithun Da wanted to work in a Marathi movie and said, “Mithun Da speaks the language Marathi very nicely and wants to work in a Marathi movie. He would often tell me that he almost has worked in all different types of regional languages but, has never worked in a Marathi movie and wishes to star in one now.”
When talking about the film, The Kashmir Files, it is a movie that discusses a serious topic but, the crew, as well as the cast, had a lot of fun on the set.
Mrinal also talked about some behind the curtain making scenes and said, “Even though the movie was a serious one that discusses a story that took place back in the year 1990, which is almost 20-25 years ago, we as a team had a lot of fun on the set.
It for sure was a challenge for us all to mark all of the references and create a serious yet emotional situation while being on-screen. And, there were also times when we would get goosebumps while shooting certain scenes. Often, we say that we are all very global and learn about all that is happening outside of India but, it is equally important for us to as well know about the things that have happened in India.”
