At the recent IIFA Awards 2022 press conference in Mumbai, Salman Khan was all love for his Godfather co-star Chiranjeevi and his son Ram Charan. Ram’s performance in SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which also includes Junior NTR in a vital part, was praised by the Bollywood actor.
The Radhe actor expressed his pride in Ram and expressed his delight that he is doing so well.
“Working with him has been a tremendous experience,” Salman told reporters (Chiranjeevi). Chiru Garu is someone I’ve known for a long time.
He’s also a good friend. His son (Ram Charan) is a friend as well. He’s done an incredible job at RRR. I merely wished him a happy birthday and good luck with his film. I’m quite proud of him. It’s wonderful that he’s doing so well.
However, I’m curious as to why our films aren’t performing so well in the south. Their films are performing really well in this country.” Salman stressed during the press conference that Bollywood, like the south film industry, has to resume crafting larger-than-life heroic films.
“They (the south Indian film industry) have always believed in heroism, and so have we,” the actor added. You need heroics after you go out of the theatre. We don’t make heroic films here, with the exception of one or two persons.
What more Salman Khan said while admiring Ram Charan’s Performance?
We should resume creating films about larger-than-life heroes. That is all I am doing. People, on the other hand, seem to believe I’ve gotten clichéd these days.” Salman said, “The ‘heroism’ model has been in Bollywood since the days of Salim-Javed, but the south directors have taken it to a whole new level.” He went on to say that they have a unique film style that he enjoys.
“If you’ve seen the Dabangg series, you’ll notice that Pawan Kalyan reproduced it in Telugu. I desired to work in the south. More films like this should be created. We are now celebrating Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. They should recreate our flicks again at some point. The writers in the south put forth a lot of effort.
They create films based on attractive ideas. People go to see their films, even if they are little. What has occurred here, I believe, is that people believe India is limited from Cuff Parade (in South Mumbai) to Andheri (in suburban Mumbai). Hindustan, on the other hand, I believe begins after Cuff Parade and Andheri.
In Bandra East, the actual Hindustan is just near the railway lines (suburban Mumbai). They are also the target audience for my films. They also have a positive message. “People should have more blood circulating in them after viewing a film,” the actor added during the press conference. Salman also revealed that he likes seeing South movies but has yet to be given one.
In terms of work, the superstar will next be seen opposite Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi in Tiger 3. Salman claimed that the picture has been completed with the exception of a few minor details. He’ll also appear in a cameo in Pathaan, a film starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham.
