Deepika Padukone creates history, becomes only Indian to be honored by TIME Magazine twice.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone was recently awarded at TIME100 impact awards for her contribution in mental health awareness and she became the only person in India to be awarded by TIME twice.

Deepika Padukone made her film debut in the year 2006 with a Kannada film Aishwarya. She then made her Bollywood debut in 2007 opposite of Shah Rukh Khan with the romance drama film Om Shanti Om, she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her splendid performance in the film and since then there has been no looking back for her in the industry.

In 2017, Deepika also made her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage. She is 36 years of age now and with her 18 years in the industry and still going strong, one thing is sure that she will be legend of Indian cinema. She currently holds the position of number one and the highest paid Bollywood actress for 6-7 years now. What makes Deepika special is not just being a good actor but also an outstanding human being.

She recently received an award for her contribution to cinema and spreading awareness about mental health by using her position and influence at the TIME100 Impact Awards event. In 2018, Deepika was also among TIME’s 100 most influential people and that makes her the only India to be honored by TIME magazine twice. In 2015, Deepika founded Live Love Laugh, an organization that works for creating awareness about mental health and measures to deal with it by the help of therapists and psychiatrists through counseling.

The organization offer online counseling and online help support. She foundation came in when Deepika herself was battling and healing up with Anxiety and Depression. After getting out of the bad phase, she spoke a lot about it on all sorts of media platforms and urged people to take mental health seriously. Her being so vocal about mental health did make impact in India because her interviews were quite viral on every social media platform and people in India actually started talking about it more.
