Alia was 6 when she was first seen in a movie as a child artist and gave an audition with 400 girls at the age of 18 for the movie Student of the year. She got selected and made her official debut in 2012 with Karan Johar directed Student of the year. The film was declared a hit and there has been looking back since then for Alia Bhatt. In just 10 years’ time, Alia has secured the tag of the second-best actress in Bollywood and is on her way to getting the number one tag from Deepika in the next 3-4 years.
She has played a lead role in around 15 films and only 2 of them have been a flop but even in the flops, Alia’s acting was appreciated by the critiques. Her best performance came in movies like Highway, Raazi, Udta Punjab, Gully Boy, her recent hit Gangubai Kathiawadi and the ongoing blockbuster movie RRR. She has proved that she can play any role that will be given to her.
Karan Johar on Alia Bhatt Rapid Fire Round
With all the success in such a short time at a young age, this begs a question “Has Alia got too much too soon?” this concern has been raised by the one who introduced her into the industry, nonother than Karan Johar. Yes, you hear it right Karan Johar in a recent interview talked about Alia, he mentioned her and said he doesn’t want to take any credit for Alia’s success but he is worried that she might have got too much too soon.

He said that since Alia has now reached the top and now she will have to be on top of her game to maintain that spot and even Shahrukh Khan has said that. Karan also said that Imtiaz Ali is the one who gave Alia the professional debut and he believes he gave her an “emotional launch” through SOTY. Karan said that he was blown away by Alia’s performance in Gangubai Kathiawadi and feels blessed to work in an industry where someone like Alia performs.
Karan has advised Alia to always chose a film based on whether she feels she can do it or not rather than the feeling of any obligation to do it. Alia and Karan will work together for the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Alia Bhatt in an interview discussed her recent success and she confessed that she is grounded and success and failure don’t bother her much, she is happy to be surrounded by people who love and support her. She doesn’t feel like she has mastered anything and thinks of herself as the same young girl who made her debut 10 years back.
