Apart from being an actress, Kangana Ranaut has made her hosting debut with Ekta Kapoor’s show Lock Upp in February this year. In Lock Upp, there will be 16 contestants. Only one will be declared a winner. What do they all have to do? All the contestants have to share the secrets of their life in the show in order to survive.

It is like they are stuck in the jail of Kangana Ranaut. They have to bear the harshness and opposition of the host. Survival of the contestant will be done on the basis of the votes of the audience. The contestant with lesser votes will be thrown out of the show. The makers of the show have promised that the show will be controversial.

Perhaps that’s why they have chosen Kangana as a host. Kangana Ranaut’s career started when filmmaker Anurag Basu spotted get drinking coffee in a cafe. He approached her for his film Gangster. The movie was a big hit.

She got four National Film Ai and five Filmfare Awards. In 2020, she was conferred with Padma Shri. She is one of the highest-paid actresses in the film industry. The actress is better known for her versatility and female-centric roles in the industry.

What more Kangana Ranaut shared About Lock Upp?

On the other side, she has been known for her forthrightness in expressing her opinions in the public. She spoke against gender bias in an interview hosted by Anupama Chopra. In “Koffee with Karan”, she highlighted nepotism in Bollywood. Kangana accused Karan Johar of promoting Nepotism in Bollywood.

She always remained part of controversies due to her open and straight statements in the media. Now, Kangana penned a note, “Many successful actors like Akshay Kumar, Priyanka Chopra, Shahrukh Khan, Ranveer Singh have tried their hands on hosting but failed as a host.

Though they have a good film career, they are not good hosts. So far only Amitabh Bachchan Ji, Salman Khan Ji, and Kangana Ranaut have achieved the glory to be a superstar host.. privileged to be in this league”.

Adding fuel to this, she said, “I wish I didn’t have to state the obvious but jealous movie mafia is doing everything to discredit me and my show. So I had to do the needful and I don’t mind…If I can stand up for myself also. It is wonderful to be the only successful host of this generation”.

Kangana in an interview told about how Ekta was keen on seeing her for who she is as a person, instead of the actor playing a character on screen”. Ekta said, “You play a lot of strong women on screen but you know how strong you are and how strong your personality is.

I want to use that instead of giving you a character for you to project and conceal yourself beneath. I want to see you as a person”. Kangana boasted of her hosting skills in Lock Upp.
