Bhumi Pednekar has decided to branch out into the action genre! Anubhav Sinha’s Bheed, Ajay Bahl’s The Ladykiller, Shashank Khaitan’s Govinda Aala Re, Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan, Sudhir Mishra’s Afwaa, and Gauri Khan’s Bhakshak are among her upcoming films.
Pednekar is eager to add an action picture to the mix, demonstrating to fans that she can handle major adrenaline-pumping films that need her to accomplish great feats physically.
“I certainly want to do a full-power action picture,” Bhumi adds. That is something I have never done before. I’d like to see myself accomplish anything like that with Bhumi, like in the Matrix or Lara Croft.
It excites me, and I’m looking forward to learning more about it in the near future. I believe I will have a great time doing this. So I’m looking for it right now, and perhaps I’ll find something.”
“The cinematic world is my oyster,” she continues, “and I believe there is so much more to discover.” I consider myself extremely lucky to be cast in such a diverse range of roles. The year 2022 will be packed with personalities that are on different extremes of the spectrum.”
What more Bhumi Pednekar shared about the doing actions films?
Bhumi has already established herself as an exceptional performer, starring in films such as Dum Laga Ke Haisha, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Bala, Lust Stories, and Badhaai Do (in which she played an openly homosexual girl), among others.
“I honestly don’t have an answer to that,” Bhumi admits when asked where she envisions herself in 20 years. I mean, I’d be a climate activist without a doubt. I can absolutely picture myself in the role of an actor. Is this, though, the only thing I’d be doing? “Certainly not!”
“There are a number of things I’m enthusiastic about,” she continues. One of them is having my own company. I’m not sure how I’m going to broaden my horizons. I’m not sure if I’ll be generating anything. I’m not sure if I’d be a good entrepreneur. Acting and being a climate activist, on the other hand, will undoubtedly be a part of it.”
