Kumkum Bhagya is one of the most popular television shows in India and one of the main reasons for its popularity is its leader actors Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha. They have been part of the show for over 7 years and when they suddenly announced their withdrawal from the show fans were stunned.
The two actors were replaced by Mugdha Chaphekar and Krishna Kaul. There were no official announcements or reasons given by the two stars earlier but not finally Shabir who used to play the role of Rockstar Abhi in the show has spoken about the reason for his exit.
He stated that he has signed a new show called Pyaar Ka Pehla Naam Radha Mohan and that’s the reason for his exit. In an interview with ETimes, he gave his personal opinions too, which was nothing to do with any issues with the show makers.
What more Shabir Ahluwalia shared about quitting Kumkum Bhagya
He first told about how he felt after leaving the show and obviously it wasn’t easy for them as he was part of the show for so long. He said he misses his co-stars and especially his co-star Sriti Jha with whom he has worked for almost a decade but he believes that the show Kumkum Bhagya also needed some fresh new faces for the progression of the show and that’s how the industry works.
Initially, the story of the show was about love and then after the leap, his role was of becoming a parent and that was the demand of the time and he believes that the kids should carry forward the show.
He also said that sooner or later this would have happened but he has no hard feelings and he would always cherish the beautiful moments and memories he had with the show, said the veteran actor.
He will surely be missed by Kumkum Bhagya fans but the good news is that he will be seen again on TV for sure but this time in a new avatar and Shabir fans will have to wait for that.
