Deepika Padukone was looking flawless in the dress she was wearing at Gala Dinner. Every two years, the Venice Biennale is an international biannual art show held in Venice, Italy. The Biennale termed “the Olympics of the art world,” is an important event for contemporary artists. The festival has grown into a kaleidoscope of activities, including a major exhibition chosen by the artistic director for the year, national pavilions sponsored by individual countries, and independent exhibitions across Venice.
The parent organization of the Biennale also offers regular events in the fields of architecture, dance, cinema, music, and theatre.
The Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia is a cultural and exhibition space that connects modern art with Venice’s historical and artistic past. Since its inception in 2013, it has collaborated on six shows with the Venice Civic Museums Foundation (MUVE), exploring past and current juxtapositions with contributions from international artists such as Bill Viola and Tony Oursler.
The Espace Louis Vuitton Venezia presented Fondation Louis Vuitton Building in Paris by Frank Gehry con L’intervento Di Daniel Buren. This immersive exhibition revealed the creative and technical processes behind the construction of the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris as part of the Hors Les Murs cultural program in 2016.
Several exhibitions have since been included in the Venice Biennale’s Collateral Events for both the Art and Architecture Exhibitions.
This year is the 59th edition of the International Art Exhibition, which will be curated by Cecilia Alemani and titled The Milk of Dreams for the Biennale Arte 2022. The six-month-long Biennale within Venice’s Teatro La Fenice will begin on April 23. In conjunction with the 59th Biennale di Venezia, Louis Vuitton has proposed a number of activities that commemorate and support contemporary art and Venice’s remarkable legacy.
Last night, April 21, 2022, Louis Vuitton organized a banquet in Venice to commemorate the future refurbishment of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro. The dinner, which was hosted by Daniele Ferrara of Veneto’s Regional Directorate for Museums, coincided with the 59th Venice Biennale of Art.
Deepika Padukone: Victoria-era vibes
Deepika Padukone attended the event wearing Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer 2022 collection and the classic Dauphine purse with Maison’s jacquard ‘Since 1854′ material. Isabelle Huppert, Tahar Rahim, Valeria Golino, Nicoletta Romanoff, Giorgia Tordini, Candela Pelizza, and Paolo Stella were among the guests for the celebration and dinner.
Deepika Padukone joined Sophie Turner, Léa Seydoux, Alicia Vikander, and Chloe Grace Moretz as faces for Louis Vuitton’s pre-fall campaign in 2020, and this year, she makes a classic appearance at the 59th Venice Biennale for dinner hosted by the French luxury house to celebrate the future renovation of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro.
Deepika looked Victorian-era in a ruffled neck shirt and khaki Bermuda shorts. A cropped black velvet jacket complemented her ensemble. Mesh and lace gloves and fashionable knee-high boots completed her look straight off the runway. Her look was completed by a stunning chain bag from the LV stores.
Deepika picked matte glam makeup with earthy brown lips and a nicely sculpted face, which is her signature appearance. Her long flowing locks were styled in a classic bun to complete her look.
This year, the Fondation Louis Vuitton has been included in the LaBiennale di Venezia’s Official Collateral Events, curated by Cecilia Alemani. Apollo, Apollo, a three-dimensional piece produced by Katharine Grosse for the exhibition area, will be on display at the Espace Louis Vuitton.
The large-scale artwork, made of metal mesh and printed in a vibrant spectrum of color with the artist’s hands, represents the disappearance of the boundaries between the artist’s body and the colorful material throughout the creative process. Apollo’s draped form and saturated hues echo Venetian handmade trademarks like Fortuny fabrics and Terrazzo mosaics, while the material’s fluidity evokes the city’s waterways and reflects light.
The aim to preserve architectural heritage is matched with Louis Vuitton’s love for creation and modern art. Louis Vuitton will donate to the rehabilitation and restoration of the Museum of the Ca’ D’Oro, a historic late Gothic palazzo, as a supporter of the Venetian Heritage Foundation, an international non-profit organization.
Finally, during the first week of the exhibition, Vuitton will bring color and culture to the streets by renovating eight classic Venetian newspaper kiosks and establishing pop-up bookstands that will display and sell the full Travel Editions Collections (City Guides, Fashion Eye, Travel, and Books)
